  We were out running errands, and one of the stores we were at had a big planter with some beautiful miniature roses in it.

  The newspaper gave us box seat tickets for our local AAA team’s game for Father’s Day, enough for us, K’s dad and mom, and my brother-in-law and his family.  We had gone to a game last year on Father’s Day, too, so I guess it’s now tradition.

  My sister-in-law needed a picture of my brother-in-law with their 3 little ones, so I pulled out my camera.  I was pretty happy with the way it turned out- it definitely helps to have such photogenic subjects.

  One of our all-time favorite kinds of cookies is no-bake cookies with oatmeal, peanut butter and chocolate.  Surely they qualify as health food- oatmeal, all-natural peanut butter, and organic milk.  Yes, they have a lot of butter and sugar, but as long as those are both organic, they don’t count, right?

  Lately I’ve been trying to get some one-on-one time with each kid, and so far we’ve all done many different things together- cooking, reading, and helping with whatever project they have going seems to be the frequent choices.  E2, however, has been asking to duel with Yu-Gi-Oh decks.  I really don’t get this game.  It might […]

  It was Visit-The-Library Day.  We all chose some great new reads, even E4, and picked up our next audiobook that was on hold- the next Magic Treehouse Books.  We also all signed up for summer reading.

  E1 just had her ears pierced.  She’s so excited!  She said it did hurt a bit, but it really wasn’t any big deal.  Yeah, right! I’m not old enough to have a pre-teen with pierced ears. 🙂 She’s already designing lots of earrings to wear after they heal.

  Our Pokemon league is held in the back of a hobby store, surrounded by all types of games and toys and art supplies.  Our last time there we decided to buy a puzzle game, the object of which is to create the picture on each card with the differently-shaped pieces.  E2 has already solved all 60 puzzles that […]

  E1’s Pokemon TCG tin was still on the table from when we got back from the league games earlier, and I thought the light difference between the shiny and matte parts looked cool.

  When we’re out at my parents-in-law’s house, for some reason E4 fights having me put her to sleep, but K can get her right out.
