St. Helens Visitor&#8217;s Center just off of I-5 in Washington.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 It was great!\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 The kids had a great time- we watched a short film about the 1980 eruption, then\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0we\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0looked through several exhibits\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0they had\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0and walked through a\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0model of a volcano.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of the center they have a mile walk around the wildlife sanctuary there.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 On a clear day Mt. St. Helens is visible over the ponds, but it wasn&#8217;t a clear day and none of the pictures I\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0took\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0of the mountain\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0turned out.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 The kids seemed to enjoy reading all of the informational signs posted around the gravel trail, but E3&#8217;s favorite part was picking up as many pebbles as she could hold.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Every time I suggested she had enough, her response was, &#8220;Just one more rock, Mom.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 We took a field trip with K&#8217;s parents to the Mt.
