E3 has been asking over and over to learn how to knit. Since it requires more fine motor skills than a three year old possesses, I hadn’t figured out to honor that request without her and me getting incredibly frustrated. For some reason I had forgotten about the round loom set we had bought when […]

I’m so far behind posting my pictures that the comments I intended to make pretty much no longer make sense. So, to keep it brief I’ll just say I love looking at this set on my shelf, because it was a present for my very first Mother’s Day.

May 19 Photo- A Different Perspective

We all had a fun time out at K’s folks’ house. The kids got out the slot car track and took turns seeing how fast the cars could go on the smallest possible track configuration before they would go flying off. I got a few pictures, but I thought it was great that in every picture I […]

E4 cut five teeth in six weeks.  It was a rough six weeks, but really if you think about how she must have felt most of that time, it wasn’t too bad.

I had a very good day- My kids took me out to lunch, and the whole day was very laid back and relaxing. I’m not saying I’m sleep deprived or anything, but it took me quite a while to figure out the colors of the balloons were for my 3 daughters and 1 son.

May 12 Photo- Celebrating E2

When I and my sister and brother were growing up, it was always a tradition that my mom made and decorated our birthday cakes. That was a tradition I really wanted to continue with my own kids, but by the fourth birthday that tradition didn’t hold up for E2- he doesn’t like cake. So now the tradition for his […]

We met K’s parents for lunch at the mall since we all wanted to shop the one-day sale at JCPenney.

May 7 Photo- Thinking About My Mom
1 May 17, 2007 at 2:37pm by Granolageekmom
This picture was a little early to be for Mother’s Day, but since it was coming up, I had been thinking about my mom quite a bit. I was folding clothes in the family room and the quilted wallhanging my mom had made for my birthday a few years ago caught my eye. It always […]

May 5 Photo- Free Comic Book Day
Comments Off on May 5 Photo- Free Comic Book Day May 14, 2007 at 3:27pm by Granolageekmom
What a fun day! We looked up the history of Cinco de Mayo to find out about La Batalla de Puebla and ate tacos for lunch. That sparked a discussion between K and me about holidays and commercialization, since Mexico doesn’t really celebrate it as a special day.  Then we loaded up the van to […]

May 3 Photo- Fun That Tastes Good Too

E1, E3 and I decided to make brownies for a change of pace. E2 was invited too, but he was having too much fun making a volcano out of the clean towels on the couch. The bright orange washcloths made the perfect lava.
